API documentation

47 endpoints over every ball since December 2001. JSON over HTTPS, one key, flat monthly plans.

Cricket Database is a cricket data API for developers: every ball of international, franchise and domestic cricket since December 2001, men and women, and every Test, ODI and T20 international back to 1877 with its full scorecard, its innings totals or its result. Matches in play are read every 20 seconds, so scores, balls and wickets arrive while the game is on.

It answers JSON over HTTPS with one key. Fantasy and prediction apps use it for players and form, score widgets and broadcast graphics for live matches and scorecards, and analysts for ball-by-ball detail, splits and records. Assistants use the same calls through the MCP server.

The free key needs no card: 50 calls a day, the last 30 days in full and samples of everything older. Paid plans are flat monthly or yearly prices, never per call.

The rest you will need

Authentication: send your key as Authorization: Bearer or X-API-Key; a key in the address is refused, so it never lands in a log.

Errors: every failure is one shape with a fixed code, so your code can tell a missing match from a plan that does not reach it.

Paging and limits and headers: lists come in pages of up to 100, and every answer says how many calls you have left.

Status shows the site, the API and the MCP server minute by minute, and support answers tickets, signed in or not.

Questions people ask

How far back does the data go?

Every ball since December 2001. Before that, every Test, ODI and T20 international back to 1877 is listed with its scorecard, its innings totals or its result; Coverage says which.

Is the free key real data?

Yes: the same matches as every plan, the last 30 days in full and samples of older ones. Nothing is made up for testing.

How quickly do live scores arrive?

A match in play is read every 20 seconds; /v1/live answers with the score, who is in and the last 12 balls. Data freshness has the detail.

Can my assistant use it?

Yes: add the MCP server with your key, or give your agent the agent skill. Every tool call counts as one API call on your plan.

What happens when I hit my limit?

The API answers 429 with quota_exceeded and the time it resets, at midnight UTC. Nothing is billed per call.
